The Seward Park Branch Library is the branch of the New York Public Library that resides on the Lower East Side on East Broadway. Currently all NYPL locations are closed to the public, but our digital services are still active! The Seward Park Branch opened its doors on November 11, 1909, and the building currently houses adult, reference, young adult and children’s collections on its ground and upper floors, and an Adult Literacy Center and community room on its lower level.
